Are your teachers qualified?
All of our teachers hold at least an undergraduate degree in music, performance, or an education-related field. Some have advanced degrees as well. Every instructor brings an extensive resume of professional performances and real teaching experience, and each one has a personal, dedicated interest in your child’s musical growth.

We take the match seriously. We consider your child’s age, personality, learning style, instrument goals, and the teaching strengths of each instructor. Our faculty aren’t just skilled musicians — they’re devoted educators. Every teacher at PW has a personal, dedicated interest in your child’s musical development. We don’t hire teachers who are ‘good enough.’ We hire people who are genuinely passionate about teaching and about the Piano Workshop’s values: fostering a lifelong love of music.
Can I sit in on my child’s lesson?
Yes, especially for young beginners! Parent involvement in the first several lessons can be very helpful. For older students, many teachers prefer one-on-one time to build a focused working relationship — but we always encourage you to check in with the teacher about what works best for your child.
