How long before my child can play real songs?

Most students can play recognizable simple songs within their first few months. Progress depends on age, natural aptitude, and how consistently they practice at home. Yes! We hold student recitals twice a year. Recitals are a wonderful opportunity for students to experience performing in a supportive, encouraging environment. They’re a huge confidence builder and one of the highlights of the year for students and families alike. Participation is encouraged for all students.

Where are you located?

The Piano Workshop at Chester is located at 415 Route 24, Chester, NJ 07930. We serve students from Chester, Mendham, Long Valley, Randolph, Morristown, Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Peapack/Gladstone, Far Hills, Hackettstown, and Tewksbury.

What’s the studio like?

Our Chester studio has 9 dedicated teaching rooms, two of which are acoustically treated and ideal for recording and rehearsals. We have several high-quality pianos, including baby grands, providing students with an excellent playing experience during every lesson.

What are the drop-off and pick-up rules?

Students should be dropped off no earlier than 5 minutes before their lesson and picked up no later than 5 minutes after. Please confirm that the teacher is at the studio before leaving.
